The Naked Mole Rat Letters
by Mary Amato
Despite the fact that her mother died a few years ago and her little brothers are annoying, Frankie is pretty happy with life. That all starts to change the day of auditions for the school play. Frankie is sure she’ll get the role she wants, but when her hair ends up a disaster she cuts school to go home and wash it. When she logs on to her dad’s email to send the school a note excusing herself, she discovers that he is having a long distance romance with a woman he met on a business trip. And things just get worse from there. Told in a combination of emails and diary entries, Frankie is at times a little too much to take. But as she grows you will grow to love her.
