Eragon

When Eragon finds a strange rock while hunting, he has no idea how much is life is about to change. Frustrated that he is unable to trade the rock for the food his family desperately needs, he decides to get rid of it. But when the “rock” hatches a tiny dragon, Eragon feels compelled to protect the tiny creature until it can fend for itself. Stories from Bram, the old town storyteller, guide but also frighten Eragon. Strangers come searching for the egg and kill his uncle, prompting Eragon and Bram to flee. What follows is the adventure of a lifetime as Eragon discovers powers and strengths he never knew he possessed and is forced to call on them to save his own life and the lives of those he loves.
