Edward’s Eyes

From the moment Maeve and Jack bring Edward home he belongs to Jake. Though only three years older, it is Jake who teaches Edward to walk, to read, to use the bathroom, and to play baseball. There is something special about Edward. He sees signs. He never strikes out. He learns everything he can - even how to throw a perfect knuckleball. And his eyes, blue as midnight with flecks of gold. It is hard not to love Edward, and it is even harder to lose him.
