A Crooked Kind of Perfect
by Linda Urban
Zoe is supposed to play the piano, be a prodigy, and perform at Carnegie Hall. Instead she plays the organ, has to work hard, and competes in the Perform-O-Rama. Zoe’s parents are supposed to be interesting and cool. Instead her mom embarrasses her on career day and her dad gets freaked out around people and can barely leave the house. Emma is supposed to be Zoe’s best friend. Instead she just decides one day that Joella will be her best friend instead - and Zoe is left with Wheeler Diggs. It is supposed to be perfect. Instead, everything turns out to be a crooked kind of perfect.
