Joseph Calderaro is about as happy as a guy can get. He’s got a great best friend, a girl he likes laughs at his jokes, and he’s part of a big Italian family. The only problem is, he’s not Italian. This was never a problem until his social studies teacher assigned a paper about how our heritage affects us. Suddenly Joseph is all too aware of his Korean face and the fact that he knows next to nothing about MBE - “Me Before America.” A new Korean family in town, an internet search, and books about Korean history start to fill in the picture. But is it really a picture of Joseph?
